No visit to the bicerin is complete without taking home a sweet souvenir. Next to the coffee lounge is the shop where you can purchase wonderful delicacies, and not only chocolate ones. What a shame they haven’t been able to ‘packet’ the bicerin drink.

CHOCOLATE

Chocolate is an uncontrollable passion. To taste a really good one can give you a unique feeling. Specially prepared by the Bicerin’s Master Chocolatier , bars of chocolate are made with milk, fondant ( minimum 56% cocoa) and extra-bitter ( minimum 75% cocoa, without sugar). There is also a variation with whole hazelnuts, milk or fondant which is naturally of the highest quality ‘Tonda gentile delle Langhe’.

Hazelnuts go well with chocolate- a remarkable food. The famous hazelnut chocolate is one of he most traditional and most in demand. I believe it’s one of the great discoveries of the 1900s, far greater than Dna.

CHOCOLATES

If a chocolate drink is enough tosatisfy your taste buds, chocolates give us an almost childish pleasure – it’s as if you are discovering a small treasure every time, and a real gem is unwrapped, revealing from time to time… a little milk chocolate, a fondant or an extra-bitter one. All come stamped with the tree, trademark of the cafè, and each homemade for instant joy.


GIANDUIOTTI & GIANDUIA CREAM

The gianduiotti ingots are the souvenirs of Turin par excellence, partly because of their deliciousness and partly because of their fascinating history. The Master Chocolatier of the Bicerin prepares them with a maximum 100 grams each. It’s possible to prepare even bigger gianduiotti ingots up to an increbible 5 kilos in weight!
The gianduia cream for spreading is so luscious that it stimulates the most sensitive soul- once you’ve tried it on bread, croissants or a cake, it’s difficult not to be hooked.

I prefer a jar of chocolate cream from the Bicerin to the Nanni Moretti Sachers, which let’s say is far superior to the moretian Nutella).

CHOCOLATE COFFEE BEANS

A little gem of a surprise – a smooth-tasting coat of chocolate envelops all the power of a toasted coffee bean. Two aromas that melt perfectly in the mouth to give a feeling of ecstasy. The beans are prepared by the Master Chocolatier exclusively for our customers. They are available by the kilo or in elegant little tin boxes.
